Tracking issues also make it difficult to measure online purchases accurately, leading us to rely on checkouts as the closest measure of actual sales. Establishing accurate tracking is critical to measuring success effectively and overcoming these obstacles.

Approach

How Primal plans to address these challenges is by improving the tracking system to accurately capture online purchases. For campaigns that don’t lead to immediate checkouts, we’ll use “add to cart” conversions to support AI learning algorithms. We’ll customise conversion metrics for each campaign, using “maximise conversions” where there are no checkouts and “maximise conversion value” for those based on checkout data.
